Washington, DC — Earlier today, Congressional Democrats passed Inflation Reduction Act, legislation that would make the most significant federal investment in history to counter climate change, cut the cost of health care, tackle inflation, and make corporations pay their fair share — a huge win for American families across the country.

“The Inflation Reduction Act is a major win for American families that will lower the price of prescription drugs, protect our seniors, lower health care premiums for millions of Americans, and take bold action to combat climate change, and build a clean energy economy with good-paying jobs. It accomplishes all of those critical goals while reducing the deficit and making corporations pay their fair share in taxes. Over the past year, President Biden and Vice President Harris, and congressional Democrats have made transformational investments in our economy and have delivered for American families – yet zero congressional Republicans joined them in this effort.
