Washington, DC — The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) released the following statement after the final results of the Louisiana Attorney General race where far-right extremist Liz Murrill defeated Democrat Lindsey Cheek.

“We’re grateful to Lindsey Cheek and her campaign for fighting on behalf of the people of Louisiana and running a strong race. Cheek faced an uphill battle but always remained focused on putting Louisianans first. She is a talented litigator and a force, and today’s outcome does nothing to dim her spark. In her career as a lawyer, Cheek has taken the big guys to court and won, and we look forward to her continuing to secure justice for her clients.”
