Washington, DC — It didn’t take long for MAGA Republicans to throw their support behind their far-right Freedom Caucus colleague Dan Bishop after he announced his bid for North Carolina Attorney General. Fellow far-right, out-of-touch House members Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert announced their support of Bishop the same day he announced he was running.

Rather than protecting democracy, Bishop and his extremist colleagues voted to overturn an election. They’re more interested in fighting culture wars than going to work for the people of this country. North Carolina deserves better.
