Spoiler Alert: Democratic AGs are defending our democracy and the law is on their side.

Democratic AGs are challenging Trump on his attempted rollbacks of Obama-era environmental protections, several lawsuits involving the Affordable Care Act, the President’s fake national emergency, the Title X gag rule, and dozens of other critical issues that affect the lives of every day Americans.

For example, just last week, New York AG Tish James led a Democratic AG coalition in a lawsuit against the Trump Administration’s attempt to rollback nutritional guidelines for school lunches that would put the health of America’s children in jeopardy.

DAGA Executive Director Sean Rankin is spot on in his comments to USA Today. “This is a unique administration, which is generating an outsized response from the Democratic attorneys general,” Rankin said. “No one is above the law. Donald Trump has had to learn that the hard way.” And Democratic AGs are great teachers.

It’s clear that Democratic AGs are the driving force behind protecting Americans from the Trump Administration’s reckless policies. While a dysfunctional Congress continues to confront how to hold Trump accountable, Democratic AGs have been there, every step of the way, fighting back in court—and winning.
