November 1, 2018

Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness Talks with the DAGA Co-chair and District of Columbia Attorney General on the Importance of State AG Races; Catch Full Episode Here

Can you believe? This week, Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness released the podcast featuring the Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) Co-chair and District of Columbia AG Karl Racine. JVN and AG Racine spent time talking about AG Racine’s and Maryland AG Brian Frosh’s Emoluments Case against President Trump, the immigration debate and what Democratic AGs are doing to protect immigrant rights and families, and what is at stake next week in the Midterms.

AG Racine talked at length about the work his office does for the people of the District every day, including the critical work on juvenile criminal justice reform, consumer protection, and gun violence prevention. They also discussed D.C. statehood and Racine’s personal story as a Haitian immigrant. Racine also discussed his investigation (and the work of many Democratic AGs like Pennsylvania AG Josh Shapiro) into sexual abuse in the Catholic Church.

JVN and AG Racine also stressed to voters the importance of researching attorneys general races in their respective states—and to cast their ballot in these races in the upcoming November midterms. The DAGA Co-chair gave shout outs to our incredible Democratic candidates, including Sean Shaw in Florida, Dana Nessel in Michigan, Aaron Ford in Nevada, Steve Dettelbach in Ohio, Josh Kaul in Wisconsin.

If you want to learn more about the candidates on the ballot in November who will put the people first and protect our rights, check out DAGA’s Meet the Candidates page.
