Louisiana AG Seat in Play as Jeff Landry Runs for Governor

October 5, 2022

Washington, DC — Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry has formally announced his campaign for Governor.

Landry’s term as Attorney General has been marked by deep scandals, including a disturbing sexual harassment claim against his officeattacks on working men and women all across Louisiana, and attempting to rip pre-existing conditions protections away from more than 800,000 Louisianians. This seat is firmly in play as we prepare for the 2023 election cycle.

Statement from Geoff Burgan, DAGA’s Communications Director:

“Jeff Landry has been a miserable failure as Attorney General who would be a train wreck as Louisiana’s next Governor – and we plan to fix his disastrous legacy next year. Instead of serving as the People’s Lawyer, Landry put his own interests first and padded his own campaign coffers instead of serving the people of Louisiana. In 2023, we’re going to take back the Attorney’s General office and finally bring a People’s Lawyer back to that office.”
